DSPs, Individuals, and guardians are given a copy of Ohio’s Individual Rights to sign off on once they have read over and agreed upon. There is additional training required and directed by one of our executive board members every year.

Random Q&As are completed, Individual funds are reconciled twice monthly through ledgers and statements, cash belonging to Individuals is kept in a safe at each home, and all documentation is done daily. DSPs are trained on all elements of documentation.

Practice examples of how to write a UIR/MUI, teach what constitutes an MUI/UIR 4-hour notification, who to notify, when to notify, and how to fill out all areas of the report as required by DODD.

Professional sex offender treatment and access to the sex offender manual. Training on grooming, triggers, aggression, re-registering, and different categories for sex offender tiers.

DSPs are trained in the home on each Individual plan. All professionals sign off that they understand and will comply with the plan. Updated plans are taken to the home for staff re-training as needed, which are specific to each individual.

All drivers are required to abide by all Ohio driving laws. A driver’s license with 4 or fewer points is a requirement, a safety video is shown to drivers of modified vehicles with lifts, and a checklist is completed on-site before getting behind the wheel.
